Telford Tigers missed out on a place amongst the front-runners in the English Premier League when they lost 4-3 to leaders Guildford Flames.

Sunday night’s clash at the ice rink saw Guildford take a 3-0 lead as early as the 11th minute.

But a Telford fightback saw the home side force overtime after a goal late in the third period.

Guildford did, however, emerge winners as they scored a ‘golden goal’ after just two minutes of extra play.
