Two young ice hockey fans raised £176 for the Cancer Research Fund by holding a bucket collection and raffle at last weekend's Telford Tigers match.Abbey Wright, 18, and Ben Whitaker, 17, raffled off a unique commemorative hockey shirt, donated by the Tigers, as part of their fundraising drive.
The duo - both long standing Tigers fans - decided to do something positive after seeing several family and friends affected by cancer.
Tigers chairman Alan Gould said: "The ice hockey community has shown time and again how generous and caring it is, and Abbey and Ben are fine examples of this. We were pleased to support their idea and thank the Telford and Manchester fans for their contributions on the night."
