Roary, the furry mascot of Telford Tigers ice hockey team, is putting his best foot forward with a sponsored walk up the Wrekin on Sunday March 20.
The trek, in aid of the Tiger Tracks Supporters’ Trust which runs the team, starts at 10m and culminates at the top of Shropshire’s iconic landmark with a family picnic.
Club chairman Alan Gould said: "Roary is inviting fans and friends to join him on the day. Previous Wrekin walks for the team have proved very popular with supporters and players.
"Anyone wishing to either sponsor Roary or raise funds for their own walk can download a sponsorship form from the Tigers website – www.telfordtigers.co.uk – and everyone taking part will receive a free ticket to that evening’s home match against Slough Jets as a thank you for supporting the team.
"Please come along, bring your family and friends and a picnic and let's have a fun morning out together in aid of the Tigers."
