CLUBNEWS: Tigers reveal shirts
Own & Loan shirts may be ordered by clicking THIS LINK and you may purchase your replica shirts HERE
Telford Tigers have unveiled their latest playing strip - which celebrates 25 years of ice hockey in the town's rink.
This year the team will play in a new white home design, with their black away strip having a retro style reminiscent of past Tigers' shirts. Both styles include a specially-designed commemorative 25th anniversary logo to reflect the beginning of ice hockey in Telford in 1985.
Replica shirts are offered to fans for £39.99 for adults, or £45 if personalised with the supporters' choice of name and number, and £34.99 for children (£40 if personalised).
The club is again offering 'Own and Loan- shirts - where the supporter pre-purchases a chosen player's actual match shirt for £95 and lends it back to the club until end-of-season presentation night, when it is handed over by the player in person. These shirts will carry a special authentication patch.
The team has also confirmed its opening fixtures - back-to-back challenge games against Swindon, with a trip to Wiltshire on September 11 before the Wildcats make the return journey the following night.
The games are sure to appeal to both set of fans, as Tigers imports Marek Hornak and Tomas Janak have both been popular Wildcats in the past.
The challenge games will follow an opening fixture at Coventry on September 4, and allow player-coach Tom Watkins to get his new team working smoothly together before the English Premier League begins on September 18 - with another trip to Swindon.
Tigers' first home league match will be against Basingstoke on September 19, bringing old favourites Steve Moria and Nicky Chinn to Telford Ice Rink, along with Mindaugas Kieras, who was instrumental in bringing new Latvian forward Andrejs Maslovskis to Shropshire.
As in previous years, the first home and away game against each opponent will also be played for the English Premier League Cup.
