CLUBNEWS: Tigers get match fit with DW Sports Fitness
Telford Tigers are getting ready for their return to action in September with help from trainers at DW Sports Fitness, at the Forge Retail Park in Telford.
The ice hockey team will be put through their paces by the professional personal trainers at the centre, with an emphasis on getting the team into peak condition ready to compete in the English Premier League.
Player-coach Tom Watkins welcomed the relationship, saying: "As athletes, the Tigers need to maintain high fitness and stamina levels, but in a controlled environment. The input from the team DW Sports Fitness will be invaluable, in devising training regimes and helping to ensure a speedy recovery from any injuries.
"The players and I are extremely grateful to DW Sports Fitness for their support of Telford Tigers and look forward to a long and successful relationship."
Under the sponsorship arrangement, members of the Telford Tigers team will have access to DW's excellent gym facilities at the Forge Retail Park, including the only 'Grappler' rope pull machine in Telford, fitness classes run by professional trainers, and support in developing a team training and conditioning schedule.
