EPL: League Structure and Team Distribution

The EPIHL season runs from the beginning of September until the middle of March of the following year, and for another fortnight for the teams that qualify for the playoffs and post play-off championship weekend.

The playoffs will be contested by the top 8 teams in the league, with the top 4 teams progression to the Championship weekend held in Coventry. As a rule games are played generally either home or away every Saturday and Sunday evening (2 games every weekend).

This current season there will be 10 teams competing in the EPIHL covering most of England with each team playing a minimum of 54 games. The ENL league is directly below the EPL, and will ensure a smooth transition for players from junior Telford teams through to the top level. ENL teams will play in excess of 26 games also.

Telford Tigers believe in primarily developing locally talented players from within our own community, and working with the Telford Venom (junior development system) our goal is to give young players something to aspire to, whilst assisting with and providing the mechanisim to enable every player, be they male or female, the opportunity to fulfill their potential..
