There are three main Ice Hockey leagues within the United Kingdom; the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) the English Premier Ice Hockey League (EPIHL), and the English National Ice Hockey League (ENIHL). The EPIHL is a semi-professional league only allowing four non-British trained players with the ENIHL being a development league.
Tiger Tracks and the Telford Tigers currently operate within the EPIHL. The Tigers enjoy a fantastic national reputation as a club that has developed some of the best young talent in the country and abroad. The English Hockey League is now in position to get fully syndicated mainstream television access.
The Telford Tigers are now looking for one headline sponsor and a number of key partners to support their expansive development. The opportunities for any partners are substantial based upon sales driven strategy involving a vast array of PR positioning opportunities, sales promotions, corporate hospitality, employee incentives and loyalty schemes.
The Tigers are blessed with having some of the best supporters across the league, with the devotion and loyalty shown over the years being truly inspiring and notably with the formation of the sports first every Supporters Trust in 2010, with the fans of the Tigers now both owning and operating their team directly.
The club are the first in the country to have no private owners, operating directly as an Industrial and Provident Society (IPS, Financial Services Authority Registration No. 30871R). Tiger Tracks, the Telford Tigers Society Ltd, operates under the motto of "by the community, for the community" and are regarded as an organistion the town are proud of.
The team is now playing passionate hard-working hockey under the guidance of former 10-Year EIHL Veteran and Team GB Star, Tom Watkins (player coach), with the trusts’ ambition to be a number one club in the country.
